Our Aims

The aims of the nursery are to allow the children to learn through play, experience new and exciting activities in a safe secure and stimulating environment.

To develop an educational and fun curriculum following the EYFS guidelines to ensure the children receive the best start in their individual journey.

Observe and monitor progress, developing self esteem, confidence and independence.

To ensure equal opportunities for all children and their families.

The Playcentre had an Ofsted Inspection on the 24th August 2015 and the outcome was GOOD.

"Children make good progress in their learning and development given their starting points and capabilities. This is because the quality of teaching is consistently good."

"Caring and sensitive staff provide a homely, nurturing environment where children are treated with respect and valued. This promotes children's emotional well-being and equips them with the skills to move on in their learning and when they move on to school."

Care is provided according to the National Standards, providing children with opportunities to achieve to their full potential, leaving us fully prepared for the transition to school.
