The Play Centre has 4 rooms. We do not separate the children into age groups, we encourage the children to play together, helping each other, learn and share.
A fun room with soft flooring ,climbing and balancing equipment is set up for daily activities.
Play is more floor based with different stations set up to allow the children to move from each activity as they wish. Short amounts of time are encouraged in the group activity to prepare the children to move towards the routines with the Adventurers.
This a room where the children can enjoy free play painting, drawing, sand, water and anything that is messy.
Snack time is at 10am and is always a healthy option with milk or water.
Lunch is at 12pm. The children bring in a packed lunch hot or cold. Food can be heated.
We ask that sweets and chocolate are kept for a treat outside of the setting.
Although we do not have immediate outdoor space we do have daily use of the school field a short walk from the Play Centre and is fully secure.
We visit the village library once a week choosing new books, taking part in any activities arranged. Each child is able to choose their own book to be kept at the setting for one week. We go out on lovely village walks to spot the trains, count cars, find resources and enjoy the fresh air.
