All staff are qualified to a minium of Level 3, with the exception of our apprentice who is working towards a level 3 qualification. Experience is a priority and regular staff meetings and training ensure the children receive continuity of care to ensure their individual needs are met.
All staff hold an up to date Disclosure Barring Service check. They are all First Aid trained and have child protection training. The senior staff all complete Designated Child Protection training regularly.
Your children’s well being and safety is at the heart of Sunninghill Play Centre.

A key person is responsible for individual children in small groups. This helps the child to build a relationship with one adult making settling in much easier and build confidence within the group.
The key person builds links with the parents through shared record keeping via a daily diary.
An online observation tool is used to record and track observations to ensure the child’s progress is in line with the expected development for their age. It supports staff in working one to one with children to know their strengths and weaknesses so staff can reinforce and build knowledge where necessary.
Parents are invited to share the children’s progress at anytime during the term with the key worker.
